Losing right now 31-15 against Rice. All season long Rice has been one of those teams I really, really wanted to play because I thought we could eke out a win...even with our defense. This is the same Rice team that was winless coming into this game and lost 16-14 to Nichols State to start the season.

Southern Miss is one injury away from having to play their emergency QB, a WR. The QB that came back in after their backup was injured in the 1st quarter is playing with a painful abdominal strain that caused him to be pulled out of the lineup in the first place, and you can tell he has nothing on his passes. He's gutting it out as best he can and has brought them within a TD of tying.
