I focused on watching the OL during the game. I saw some very good

play and some not so good.

1. Are there awards for "Pan Cake Blocks" ? If so, I vote for Santiago!

No FAU player got past him all night, especially on pass blocking.

On two different plays, Santiago put his guy on the ground hard!

I mean knocked the guy off his feet! Pan Caked!

2. Drake and Bailey were manhandling their guys-That is why the runs

up the gut were working. Jamario came ever so close to breaking

several big runs. JT was into the secondary several times, but got

triped up-not tackled-which allowed help to arrive.

3. Menard is a physically gifted OT. He will be a very good OT. He needs

more work on technique and handling the outside speed rush. The FAU

DE's were very quick and fast-their DE's were getting past Menard and

Venagas most of the game, which was causing Meagar to scramble.

Missed opportunity- just before our 2nd FG, 3rd down-Jamario had floated

out into left flat. Meagar was on the right side, srambles back left, and just did

not see JT. Only if Meagar had seen JT-he was all alone. JT could have walked

into the end zone from 25 yds out.

Bailey to me seem to have trouble in pass blocking. As well as getting out there to block on screen pass. He did do a ok job at run blocking. I think if Venagas moves back to guard it would help are o line better if he was there and instead of Bailey. Venages just seem to slow to play tackle. His first step just seem to slow against FAU. Drake and Santiago looked the best of the oline in the game which surpised me. But they did do a better job better then before.
