I asked his mom after the SMU game how he did in Arkansas for that upstart football league. He did really well there, and the Vikings had also requested his info from his agent.

The pic was not creepy. The fact that homeboy took a pic of quinn and his girlfriend while they were just trying to watch a game....thats a littley creepy. Just seems a little obsessed thats all.

He asked them if it was OK to take their picture. The picture wasn't any different than pictures on Quinn's own MySpace page. I don't know who convinced the fan that his photo was creepy, but it sucks to make him sound -- to use your own words -- "obsessed." Quinn obviously had no problem with it. I'll bet he appreciated getting noticed in the crowd.

Prior to the game having started I had asked if I could take a photo of him (his girl was not there then). He said that was cool and even posed. I had technical difficulties with the camera then. But later in the 4th quarter when the blocked punt occured and we were all thinking we'd get the ball back, JQ was up on the seat yelling and cheering with the rest of us. I snapped acandid of him raising his hand with the claw (that didn't take so well). But he saw the flash and smiled again. Since I had difficulties earlier, I asked if I could take another he said yes, and grabbed his girl to be included in the photo.

He's a good guy and enjoyed the game as much as the rest of us. I appreciated his sincerity.

I'm glad others had apprecaited the photo.

It was probably removed because JQ's woman is hot, and you pervs would have started making comments...

And we just can't have any of that around here! Nor discussions of mistakes made by players, the hotness of the dance team, issues with the coaching staff, or the fact that the volleyball team has some hot chicks on it.

Good point. I think we all see both sides to the equation, and I appreciate the respectful tone of this thread.

Re: Quinn, I loved this quote: "Dont Let Daily Routine Be Confused With Commitment". Best of luck to Quinn in the future... too bad he wasn't here for any of the Dodge years... shoot, he'd have a thousand yards receiving by now....

How's you're luck with UNT athletes?

Really? My therapist and I FINALLY get past that AWKWARD time in my dating history and you bring it up... REALLY? I guess me and the therapist can push talking about my parents back a few more weeks....

Don't worry. He graduated and moved away. He can't hurt you anymore.

I just think its weird. Its not like he is Jack Nicholson or something. I'm not suprised he took the pic, he is a nice guy. He did, however, probably leave thinking "what a wacko....i wonder what hes gonna do with that picture?"

It would be fine if you had a pic taken with you and him, but a pic of him and his girlfriend?? That is sort of grandparentish if you ask me. Just my two cents.

Just think of it as a Celebrity shot, they pose with their girlfriends all the time. LittleMeanGreenMan you are putting too much thought into it. If it was just some guy and his girl maybe then it could be a little weird, but not a local hero. But hell I taken some random pics at the tailgating to show the atmosphere and had young couples want a pic together.

To each his own, of course, but the Mighty Quinn is one of the greatest players to come through North Texas. This was a snapshot. It would've been weird to grab a lock of his hair, or something, but even that could be justified if you're trying to clone him.
