It's time to end the Meager experiment and start building for the future. Daniel Meager is one of the most frustrating QBs I've ever endured as a fan...and I'm not just talking about as a Mean Green fan.

Let's start Giovanni now. I can forgive some of his mistakes because I know he will learn from them and is capable of correcting them. I certainly can't say the same for DM...it's been the same old, same old for three years now.

You pretty much sum up my feelings on the matter - I was ready for the Gio as soon as he signed his LOI. I have never thought Meager was that good of a QB, and he proved once again tonight that he can't get it done. Two very winable games, and he throws 6 picks, 4 of them in critical times or positions on the field.

Time to cut our losses and move forward with the youngster.

As much as I might like to see the guy, I'm not sure you want to throw him to the wolves against Arkansas, as down as they may be right now. There will probably be a good time, like the start of the 2nd half when we're getting blown out, but I wouldn't do it until then.

After that, we'll be 0-4 and I see no reason to not have him starting the rest, regardless. You can't turn the ball over like we've been doing and win ball games, and Meager doesn't have the excuse of injury or inexperience anymore.

Let's let giovanni start and throw him to the wolves. That kid might explode in that kind of atmosphere. He has to get some real game action before his first conference start. He doesn't need mop up duty. He needs to know that its his turn to go and lay it on the line.

Maybe Meager is a good athlete but he just isn't smart. He needs to take a seat. Vizza time...he can't do any worse, might as well get some reps. And I don't want to hear anything about throwing him to the dogs. He's a D1 QB, he needs to get use to it sooner or later.

DM really needs an impenetrable curtain of offense to have as much time as he wants Did anyone notice the Defensive adjustments by FAU they brought almost everyone in short and hammered our offensive line, begging for DM to throw deep. It reminded me of watching the outfield come in when a team has no respect for a hitter in baseball.

Like I said in an earlier thread...the pass-and-catch in practice is one thing, being able to perform in the game is another. You know, I think I can throw the footbal pretty well. However, send 3 or 4 275+ people after me and I couldn't throw worth a damn! Huh...sounds like DM's problem...

Hey, why don't we just politely ask the opposing team to not blitz us thereby allowing time for our QB to throw the ball. I think that would be the polite thing for them to do? What do you think...would that work for DM???

Mayday threw 4 picks against the scout team before Oklahoma, played okay against Oklahoma, lost us the SmU game and lost us the FaU game. He's nicknamed Mayday for a reason; time to move on, start Vizza. I can live with a true freshman making true freshman mistakes, but I can't watch our so-called experienced starter making freshman mistakes anymore.

I agree. If we are going to lose making mistakes all game long, let's at least have a QB in there that will learn from them when he makes them. DM just don't seem to learn.
