They were discussing this on ESPN at lunch. They said this was a better than average game attendance wise for Miami. They usually pack it out against Florida St or Florida, but this was better game for them outside those two schools. I was rather shocked to hear this. Does anyone have their complete attendance numbers?

---I have heard several times that there attendence is rather poor........ in fact can anyone name any division I university in a large city with a pro-football team that has good attendance. ?????

Miami plays in a stadium that is 20 miles from its campus but their average attendance last year was just shy of 42k, which ranks them 51st in the country.

Washington, Georgia Tech, Boston College...Does Stanford or UC-Berkley count, as they're in the bay area.

Possession = a word that usually contains 4 s's.

When you fight about grammar and spelling like this you just end up making Chris cry...

That was intentional. To make the point that people don't give a $h!+ about grammar of spelling on this board. Sorry the koke was over you're head.

And Pittsburg and Pittsburg aren't too bad. Not sure if you would call San Diego State's attendance too good these days. I guess Boulder and the Broncos don't quite qualify even though they are right down the road from each other. The same could almost be said for the Froggies and the soon to be Tarrant County Cowboys even though TCU's attendance doesn't always qualify as great.

In 2005, Boston College avg. 39,429 with GT just over 51,000. Washington did very well with just over 64,000. I would say 44,000 is pretty good for Miami with them being down this year. Isn't Miami a private school?

Miami's fan support has been described as being a mile wide and an inch deep. Even in their heyday they only sold out against the big names.

Should the Hurricanes fall on hard times via a few losing seasons the masses will stay away from the stadium

Number 1 in attendance in all of college football, the University of Michigan, isn't very many miles from the Detroit Lions stadium.

Yeah, but do the Lions really count?

They are 2-0 so actually they do count....

So are the cowboys, I actually drove by valley ranch today, and wanted to bust throught he gates and tell everyone tips on how to beat the Bears... Lame Friday afternoon.....
