Don't forget that everything they do this year is without seniors. The redshirted them in prep for their first full season at the D-1A level.

They have 18 seniors on their Roster.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure I remember reading an article at the beginning of the season that said they were redshirting their seniors.

How many games/plays/downs are allowed without losing the ability to redshirt?

20-17 WKU now at the beginning of the 4th

There must be a delay on the ESPN360 feed?? I now have 17-13 with 3 minutes left in the 3Q

This probably isn't the right thread but I was on sportsline looking at their ranking and they have WKU ranked 4 spots ahead of us with a SOS ranking of 4. I have looked at their schedule and there is no way they can possibly have the 4th toughest schedule in the nation... nor is there any way they could beat us. They haven't done anything but get beat 87-0 by Florida before tonight.

There is no clear cut team in the Sun Belt this year. I would have never picked WKU to beat MTSU.

Terrible start for MTSU. If this holds up, that's two early losses in conference.

Looks like the class of the league is Troy and Arkansas State. Saturday we might get a good idea if FAU is a contender.

20-17 WKU.. 4 seconds left and MTSU is trying to kick a 35 yard field goal with a freshman kicker that has struggled tonight.

WKU is not a conference game for anybody.

A loss to WKU is worse than a loss to a conference opponent. I'm waiting for the MUTS fans to start the bring back "Andy Mac chants"

Subsequent article a few weeks later....... they changed their mind(s) and decided to go ahead and play.

After four games Middle's opponents have punted 12 times.

Troy's opponents have punted 14 times after three games.

FAU opponents 13 times after three

ASU opponents 10 times after two.

Their defense has got to start making some stops if they want to be in the mix.

      Should we add Texas State to the AAC?

      The prestige of the PAC is dead, and @NorthTexasWeLove is right: we are entering an era (if we aren't there already lol) where geography is a much bigger priority for non-Power leagues. I hope we do away with this notion that we should share a G conference with California or Washington schools. It's already a whip that we are in one with schools that sit just off the eastern coast. I don't get the idea of if-Tigers-go-we-need-to-follow. I think it makes more sense to be attached to Texas State than Memphis.

      First of all, I know you're a troll and have been for many years. Over the past 10 years, you probably don't have 5 positive posts on this board. However, to answer your question (1) discount and multi game ticket packages offered, (2) shirt give aways, (3) various forms of half-time performances, (4) Denton student day. You wanted 1 there's 4! If you would like to provide the AD with an unlimited marketing budget to do what you would like then go ahead! As for the announcers, NT doesn't control who ESPN sends. If they mistake on air that's on them. Do you really believe our SID gave them incorrect information? I listened to Hank's interview with the announcer in the pre-game show. He was very knowledgeable and complimentary of NT. If he made a mistake, it was just that...a mistake. It wasn't because he didn't know anything about NT or we intentionally gave him incorrect information.

      Power Conferences making their move to take full control

      Here in Florida the SEC homers are using SMU's presence in the playoff to "prove" that the ACC is not a legitimate Power conference. Heard it on Jacksonville sports radio this morning from a host who went to UF. The game's rigged for the big dogs and they keep making their club more exclusive all the time. Everybody else in the FBS is the Washington Generals. I wish the G5 schools would create their own organization to work together more strongly for a future that doesn't suck.

      Attendance question

      I was at the NDSU game Monday night and have been at several of their championship games in Frisco. Every time, I think "I wish I could bring our fans here to see how football works." Both teams fans yell when their team is on defense...on 1st down!

      I assume it's the "efficiency" factor in the NET equation that benefited from last night. That or the results of other games impacted this. Not totally sure, but it's a good question.
