I know that ratings are not the be all and end all indicator of a player's talent...but they do provide a good baseline as to where we should be looking to recruit. Based on the schools where these kids have verballed thus far...I would say top 40...UL-M recruits talented guards, the TSU and Rice kids may be second guessing their choices...but I feel we're a better basketball team than TCU and the Fran of the metroplex Neil Daugherty, UTA, Liberty, Eastern Michigan and SHSU.

Shug Jones mentioned an interst in visiting, and I like the size on #20 Myles Walker and #34 Emerson Herndon.

How many of these kids list us as one of their favorites?

The following kids have shown an interest and/or UNT has expressed an interest.

#9 David Kyles, Dallas Kimball

#13 Courtney Jackson, Paris

#18 Shug Jones, Dallas Pinkston

#25 A. Bootle

#56 Darin Thibodeaux, Dallas Kimball

The Sleeper of the group is #75 Nate Gibbs of DeSoto. Nate was the top Sophomore in the Dallas area and higher ranked than #1 J'Misson Morgan. Nate had a leg injury and did not play at all his junior year. Because of the injury, his stocked has dropped to the point that I am not sure if he will garner the major interest before the injury. If he can come back to form, we may have a chance; similiar to Leonard Hopkin's situation.
