After seeing the Talons latest paint job and reading about a few of the stadium updates, I was just wondering if I may have missed some postings of pix. Thanks GoMeanGreen.com family! See ya Saturday. Look for the "Home of Dodge Ball" banner!

It's still Fouts, but it's no longer that moldy 50-year old cracked concrete Fouts. It's a light beige color, and I'll tell you, the front of the stadium looks a WHOLE LOT better.

Drove by it several days ago and you are right, it does look a WHOLE LOT better. I have heard they are repainting the whole stadium the new green, but I can't tell that is what they are doing as of yet. Either way, it does look better.

I don't think so, since they took all the protective plastic off the sponsor signs this weekend.

I don't know if they fixed it yet but last week I saw that the beige stopped around the mean green lettering at the top of the stands. It just looked like they just decided to stop painting there. I hope they clean it up a bit before Saturday.

Please tell me they are going to put a green color or a new white color on it.

Again, I don't think so. They have removed all the protective coverings from the sponsor ads. I believe they are done. But, it does look good.

I would imagine that they sprayed the majority of the structure and will have to hand paint around the lettering, so they removed the plastic and will just tape it off. My guess at least.

Well as of the day I drove by, they had left the dark green part around the top of the stadium, so if they left that, at least there is some green on it. Don't get me wrong, it does look a whole lot better than it did.

I drove by Fouts on Saturday. It looks very good...as good as Fouts could look. The color they chose, kind of a tan, makes it look like the structure is new. I am, however, quite concerned that they are sinking more money into Fouts. Makes me discouraged with regard to a new building.

Unless there are people here that are in the "know" about a new stadium that can shed some light on this matter, I have a very hard time believing that we will have a new stadium before 2010.

A news release will go out on the stadium painting in the next couple of days. Once it is out, I will post the inside story that might not be covered in the release.
