For a high school game it sure felt like a college game. Both teams were tailgating over 3 hours before kick off in big numbers.

Very impressive crowd. I think the announced attendance was 31,800 (right around that). They said that's a record for the biggest regular season high school game crowd. I joked with my friend that it was also the biggest SMU home crowd at Ford. If we could get the SLC fans to adopt UNT as their local college team, we could sell out Fouts.

I'm REALLY glad we're getting Derek Tomlin. That guy was directing the Defense all night long and was all over the place. It seemed like every 3rd tackle was made by him.

Riley looked really good most of the night and then threw a couple bad passes that were intercepted.

Didn't notice anything about Leppo.......hope he wasn't the Deep Snapper that shot the ball over the Punter's head and resulted in a safety?

SLC's band has about 300 kids in it and they sounded great. They also marched really well at halftime. Not to start a band bashing thread or anything, but I like how they use their drum line, and it's fun to watch the whole band section jumping up and down and dancing while they play. PS - Their flags are grren, white and black.....I'm not saying.......I'm just saying.

I still like Ford field. If you sit on the very top row you can catch a slight breeze.

great atmosphere .... great game .... I sat near some Northwestern fans that were both obnoxious and entertaining ....

only negatives were [1] TV time outs, and [2] the ridiculously LOUD music before the game .... and the PA announcer wasn't very good ....

wondering why the game was at Ford and not Texas Stadium .... Ford is a GREAT place to watch a game

I think we will see a significant amount of Southlake fans at the game saturday because of Dodge and their support of him. I think we will have over 22k.

Very sloppy game, in reality. Ton of turnovers and penalities.

Riley had a good first quarter but after that, he really didn't do much.

Let's face SLC typically has better athletes than almost all the schools they play in Texas. Last night, they faced a lot more speed than they have.

I believe that SLC should have won that game. Rodge threw a critical interception in the fourth Quarter (that would have been any esy score) and was virtually ineffective in the 2nd half.

Leppo did not play. Tomlin is a project. Tomlin will most likely redshirt like Padron. He'll need to get bigger but has more speed than Padron. Tomlin looks to be a good player maker.

Miami was a mess to me. They had an eighth grade punter who averaged about 20 yards a kick and a extra point kicker who should had every attempt blocked. They had nice WR's and that was the difference in the game.
