We were a hair from leading 21-10 in the half. Instead, it is 14-17.

Still, a good half from our team. The false start penalties were killers. But, those will decrease as the team becomes more familiar with the system.

I think it is obvious that we are going to see an explosive offense just continue to get better. But, I am also just a bit concerned with the D.

6 quarters into this new defense coordinator and i am sick of it! SICK! you let SMU go 70 yards in 40 seconds with what sounds a as a soft prevent defense is pathetic! And somebody on that OL block the blitz please!

i'm listening to the game on kntu 88.1 live stream since i don't have anything else here in santa fe. what an up and down 1st half. dang turnover and smu td at the end there. but, i'm ever hopeful for a comeback in the 2nd hafl.

COACHING can really help in solving things at the half... four or five pre-snap penalties, sloppy tackling -- that's coaching there. This is a game we should be leading. We've had some drops, a fumble, some slightly errant passes (though Meager's been good overall), but the terrible discipline penalties and poor technique needs to get fixed. Second half should be a big improvement.

Keys to the second half:

Improved DB play

A little more out of the running game, with the passing working as well as it is you would think it would open up

No more stupid penalties

MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AS NEEDED!!!!!!!

Vizza should be in the game period. And we wouldn't be stressing out over SMU having the lead at this point.

Howis it Meager's fault that the Defense can't stop anyone and that Fitz and BJax can't hold to passes that hit them in the hands.
