UNLV we lost 26-3 on our way to a 2-9 season. One of which was over the Sand Aggies out in Lubbock

It was my first year of college, first UNT game. Honestly don't really remember the game much at all, just that we met some people that had a flask who were happy to share...

"I've got a flask in my car if you'd like to join me for an after hours drink."

That season made absolutely no sense. We won 2 games--@ Tech and at home over Big West champion, Boise State. Very un-Dickey like. I guess he figured out that he shouldn't give any extra effort toward those big-name schools going forward!! :o

Official site doesn't have schedule before '01 season. I'm thinking it was Baylor, but I was hoping someone could help me out here.

thanks

If you ever want to find a score or a schedule, there's a website that has just about all the NCAA Division I football game results listed by year, by school, etc. Here's a link to the page for North Texas (it does not include the I-AA years):

Even worse than the loss was the fact that UNLV snapped a 16 game losing streak dating back to the middle of the 1997 season by beating us. Then, in 1999 Baylor snapped a 10 game losing streak against us for their only win that year. Then, in 2001 ULM snapped a 19 game D1 losing streak against us. That was followed up by the 26 game conference winning streak we had.

I think sometimes we forget how far down we actually were, how far we came (give DD some credit for the wins not the embarrassing losses listed above) and how bright the future ahead still is. We gave DD a LOT of room. Let’s do the same for TD. He'll get this things rolling sooner than later!

Memories that was the first game my freshman year I don't remember much but I do remember learning never to show up without a flask. It wasn't until after beating Cincinnati in the New Orleans bowl I decided I could live with out the flask.
