If you think it's so hard then stop.

Exactly. There is a place for being disappointed but no place for hopelessness. It truly is a game. In the end, these are young men playing for the school we love. No one feels as bad as they do, and their families and the coaches. They truly are going to need our support after this loss. Things are going to turn around for this program, we've just got to take our bumps and bruises.

i still see aggies wearing A$M shirts. they lost to OU just as bad, maybe even worse.

was it bad today? yep...real bad.

but if you're going to be a fan of a team, there will be days like this. UT lost by over 60 to UCLA at home. I could go on and on with examples.

Let's just move on to SMU.

I agree....we dont wear the shirt, hat etc because of the football team or athletics. We are wearing the school in support of the school and mainly as an academic institution. When I wear that shirt I am letting people know that I am a part of UNT and its fine institution as a whole.

In the end yes its painful but just a game. Lets forget this one and go into Ford Field and redeem ourselves.

listening to the game Stoops did not run up the score. Our defense did nothing to sytop them and when they get the ball at midfield it is kinda hard not to score at will, while we consistently started inside our own 15 due to piss poor Kick returns.

I don't fault Stoops. The score -- the highest total by an opponent in UNT history, and three points short of the all-time worst loss -- was the result of Dodge continuing to pass the ball.

The game's an embarrassment, but it's still just one loss whether you lose by seven or seventy. I've got some admiration for Dodge pursuing the pass all game long, knowing he could just run the clock out and avoid a historic debacle. He knew the passing offense needed the work, so he kept it up. If we win some games with that offense this year, we'll forget Oklahoma.

If Stoops leaves his first unit in until the fourth quarter then that's running up the score. But, he cleared his bench after the half. Gutierrez may not get to play again this season; he's down around the fifth team. It was his one chance to shine and he took it. The same was true at other positions.

What's it going to teach us if they just took a knee each down? That would be even more humiliating. It's the refs. It's running up the score. You won't hear Todd Dodge making excuses except for possibly saying that the coaches didn't have them prepared. It's part of the learning experience.

The situation just snowballed. I predict that we'll NEVER be that humiliated again.

Oh my God, Thank you!!

It would be one thing for OU to take apart this team verses a TD team going into TD's fifth year. I thought it took guts to stay with the game plan and use the opportunity to let your players get reps in a real game. Once it is past about 30 points in a blowout I really don't care if is a 100 points so long as we are learning. We will be a better team for it.

If OU wasn't fired up about the home-opener I bet the results of the Michigan game yesterday fired them up to a different level.
