Should we add Texas State to the AAC?
We should always try and improve our position when it comes to conference affiliation and over the last few years we have. Sunbelt....Conference USA and now the AAC. We are getting about as high as we can get without being in a P4 conference. Without the right schools the "new" PAC is not the right direction, literally (west) I for one do not want to be in the Big West 2.0. Winning games will be the best way to enhance our position. More money and exposure would be good but the PAC does not even have a media contract. -

It's all leading up to the university's renaming. We're going to be the University of North America. -

Denton, America ???
I've heard it since at least last season, I don't mind it. I guess it is meant to convey we are the only Denton in America (although we aren't, there's a few tiny Denton's in other states). I remember many in Riesel, the town where I graduated high school, would refer to it as "Riesel, America." -

Finishing Out the '25 Class
105 Due to the recent House vs. NCAA settlement, the way is paved for colleges to compensate athletes. The downside is that there will now be a roster cap in FBS of 105. With the average FBS school carrying 128 athletes, that means 23 athletes per team will be looking for a new home.Nov 25, 2024 ................ All 105 can be on scholarship, but 105 is also the total roster limit ...including walk-ons and non-scholarship players. Scholarship spending will be decided by the schools and/or conferences what each will offer. While we may lose some former scholarship players to the portal and P4s, the P4s will have to cut their total rosters down and quality backups that we could now pick up. -
