TexasHoops.com Recruiting Analyst

6'5", Nolan Dennis is the most versatile guard in the class of 2009 in the state of Texas and one of the most valued recruits. With two years of varsity basketball still left to play, Dennis has made a decision. He will stay right here in the state of Texas after months of rumors and speculation.

"I will be staying at North Richland Hills," said Dennis, putting to rest any confusion of where he will be playing his junior year of basketball. "I never left. I never withdrew from North Richland Hills. I just looked around and wanted to see what my options were."

During the summer Dennis plays for the Dallas Mustangs and learned some valuable lessons on the court.

"The summer went ok," said Dennis. "It was a little up and down. I did have some really good games and I learned that you have to be ready from the get-go. That is the attitude that I will be playing with this year. I feel that everyone will be gunning for me on the court and I have to be ready."

Some of the top programs in the country have all ready offered Dennis, but a few more have stepped up and added themselves to the list. "Recently more teams have offered. I now have official offers from Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Texas, North Carolina, Memphis, Villanova, Iowa State, Kansas, Marquette, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Those are the new offers I have received over the summer," added Dennis.

Dennis says that Oklahoma State, Stephen F. Austin, Arkansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, and Indiana had already extended offers. He has unofficially visited Baylor and Texas and Dennis adds that he has no leader at the moment.

Texas Hoops Analysis:NOLAN can play the one-two-or three position on the court. He is a dominant player with the ball in his hands, his size and length gives him the ability and advantage to see over defenders, has superb ball handling skills, can take a defender from the wing and hit the three, pull-up for a mid-range jumper, or finish above the rim over the defense. He is very explosive and hard to contain in the open court, he is a long and athletic defender who will rebound, then lead the break and find his open teammates, he has the ability to take over a game at any time.
