Our building site is much easier to get to than either Ford Stadium or the new Cowboy stadium. Plus, you don't have to tear anything down (like Fprd stadium) before you start building. So, in theory, our project should be completed in a very timely manner once it gets started.

In the "interim" while we await that GREAT DONOR ON HIS WHITE HORSE to rescue our "field of dreams", why not play a game at " Jerry's World" or even the Cotton Bowl if we can get a two for one in the future with a worthy opponet? This is the only major point that I differ with RV. Play a game with an OU,UT, T$M, Big 10, Pac 10 , or SEC where you get the exposure--they will NEVER come to Denton and frankly Denton in my over 40 years as a fan, student, & alum has NEVER shown to be worthy of a quality opponet's consideration for a two for one. Why not get with reality---our kids now and future recruits would really pay attention to the opportunity. Just like we have with the students and the failure to access realistic athletic fees, we have way too long pampered Denton while seeing little or NO return from all our efforts!!

Actual construction time is rarely much of a problem with a project like this. A stadium shell is fairly simple -- just forms and concrete, along with the required steel. That's why it goes up so fast.

A roof makes it tricker, obviously: sort of a crane choreograph.

The fit and finish will take a little longer. Anything this big will have a long punch list.

Getting the money up front is the hard part. That's Jerry Jones' advantage, and it's why we won't start building until money's in the bank, no matter how much some might want it.

Once construction starts, I think people will be amazed at how quickly the thing appears on the horizon.

A side note: The new north end zone seating at Texas' Royal-Memorial Stadium appears to be complete. It looks like it was built with the rest of the current seating sections.

That means A&M will probably be adding on to Kyle soon, neither school can stand to have less than the other.

Can you believe the distance between the four concrete footings that the two huge arches sit on are a quarter mile apart?

Rick

Or that you can fit the Statue of Liberty upright in the building?

Jerry likes talking about his new stadium. Sports Illustrated article, interview at halftime at whatever channel the Cowboys are on, he might even start an "infomercial" just to talk about his new stadium.
