The fans of Iowa State can go to www.cyclones.com, and vote on the new helmet which the team will wear in 2008. Allowing fans some input-----what a novel concept.

They could just put the old logo on a white helmet. The new helmet candidates look a little too old fashioned and too plain for me.

I'm tired of teams changing just for the sake of change. I agree there are some bad uniforms out there but most of these new tricked up uniforms are worse than the old ones. Yet I do like that they are giving the fans a say in the process.

All the white helmets look a little old-school to me but I'd pick the I-State one of that group. Are we on the cutting edge of schools going back to the old white? At least they are not concerned that "Iowa State" needs to be on the side of it for identification.

Looks to me like they have three bad choices - are letting the fans choose one of the 3 bad choices, and then will proclaim that the fans loved one of the choices.

They should just darken their current helmet to the new burgundy and leave the logo alone. The darker red would let the tornado-cardinal and white stand out more.

seems like lots of teams are going back to the white helmets.... the chargers went white in the nfl. we did. and didnt new mexico state go white when they changed unis? seems to be the new thing to do. arent we just such trend setters!
