You see, youth has nothing to do with it. Stoops is perfectly okay throwing a RS Fresh into the wolves on 9/1. It'll reveal character, build confidence, etc...

That and the fact that the only upperclassman qb he has couldn't beat out a wide receiver for the job last year.

The sooners are expecting the North Texas game to be a huge "blow-out" and

good experience for Bradford.

Well, I think this North Texas team will have a real "learning" experience for

their new QB. I expect zero-u to play safe, with many basic formations and

plays. I think they do not want to show too much because they play Miami

the following week-end. The sooners see the North Texas game as a dress

rehersel only, with their real game vs Miami.

Maybe the sooners will be looking ahead? Maybe our defense can pressure

the the QB into mistakes. Maybe our offense can move the chains?

Maybe North Texas has a better chance to win the game than expected!

If all those maybes came true and culminated in a NT win in normal I would probably wet myself. I think we will give OU a better game than expected (much like we did Texas in '02), but I am not sure Todge has had time to bring enough talent and depth to the offense to score enough to beat them. Now when we open @ Miami next year... the hurricanes better be ready for an Eagle to give them a black eye.

This may be out of line, but do you type you posts on a Concord or something?

your formatting scares me and makes me question my life.

Quoner-

I have no idea what a concord is-

I thought that was a grape, or a french airplane.

a grape would explain it. Do you type all your posts out on a grape? I,

for one, have decided to grasp Charlie's formatting.

His writing style is awesome too! Random exclamations that get me all

excited. Sentences that wrap to the next line before they ever get

halfway across my screens. As if he's pressing enter after so many

characters.

Odd! But awesome! <3 Charlie.

Bradford is a nice looking player. I bet we see Nichols play some QB during some portion of the game and likely will coincide with the time frame that Vizza plays (3rd qtr. and also into the 4th). Tune hopefully will get some snaps as well.

Wasn't Colt McCoy a rs Freshman last year...with UT's next game being against Ohio St (#1 in the land)??! Maybe you guys don't remember the outcome of that game, but OU starting a rs Freshman with a big game up the next week doesn't exactly comfort me. I seem to remember UT going for it on 4th down 3-4 times last year AFTER they were already up by over 30...ALL to give the RS Freshman QB more time on the field to prepare for OSU.....

....oh, wait....we don't have 'just glad to be on the same field with greatness' Dickey anymore....

Who am I kidding, we're gonna get smoked. But you know what? I don't even care. Just the simple fact that we're going to actually put together a gameplan against a BCS team gives me chills. I can't wait for the season to start.
