Yeah, they will.

You think they will take him on with all of the negative PR they would get from that? If I was the Falcons, I would cut him, then sue him for the amount of that large contract they just gave him, and all of the money they will potentially lose from this deal since they traded that Shaub guy based on Vick convincing them he had nothing to do with it.

I love your avitar by the way in conjuction with your log in name.

There's no such thing as negative PR... somebady said that.

But yes, it doesn't matter what kind of a scumbag loser he is. If he can scramble and throw a football in the NFL, somebody will sign him.

History will tell answer your question. Consider the following:

Steve Howe

Darryl Strawberry

Mark Gastineau

Dennis Rodman

The RB from Nebraska (name escapes me)

The list could go on and on. If they can produce, some poor owner with eyes on the Super Bowl will give Vick a shot.

smart move by the piece of garbage... he probably won't see any time behind bars. I mean, OJ cut off 2 people's heads and wrote a book about it, and he's still roaming free...

Just because the penalty for killing your ex wife in California is a lifetime of golf in Florida doesn't mean Vick won't get jail time.

I think the league was looking into some sort of ban for gambling?

The thing I think people are overlooking in the discussion of if he will play in the NFL again is that he is probably not that good anyway. Is he exciting and fun to watch? Yes, but it seemed even before these charges came along, sentiment was growing that Vick could not become an elite NFL quarterback because of his poor accuracy and decision making. So, let's say he is out of the league for two years, do you think a team will take on all that public backlash, bad publicity, and boycotts to sign a QB who hasn't played in two years, and who wasn't that efficient to begin with? It will be interesting to see.

I tell ya, the continued crap from all the current pros being spewed all over ESPN and the likes is making me sick. Guys are now saying, "this is behind him now and he can move on with his career...". Emmtt Smith saying he hopes he takes this time to learn from his experiences and grows from it...etc,,,, as if he's going to be a better person from this? You don't change people like that.

Everything I have ever read from all the psycho-experts, investigations and the work of the current profiler system with the FBI, one thing is very common with all the high profile serial rapists and murderers: They all had a history of being cruel to animals as children. I'm not saying he's on the same level of a murderer, but to me, anyone that could be a part of such a sick activity that Vick has admitted to could also calously pull a trigger or a knife on a human. Who knows, this event may have saved the POS's life considering where many of the illegal underground gambling type activities ends up at? He's had a history with drug paraphanelia, in fact the investigation that originally started at his home that led to the dog fighting findings was due to a drug search, so who knows?

Is it possible the league could ban him from any consideration for future employment?

Yesterday the commissioner's office exerted authority over the Falcons in determining his future playing status.

First, the allegation involves gambling; if the plea deal that's released next Monday has him admitting that he organized the betting and provided the startup money, as the co-defendants said, that raises the stakes.

Second, the commissioner's office put out a statement saying that they now know that Vick lied to the league and the Falcons about what was going on. Other players who have gotten suspensions got longer ones because they lied to the league.

One of the commentators on NFL Access said yesterday that the league is not looking at a lifetime ban at this point. But that could change based on what's in the plea agreement.

Also, he noted that any suspension would run consecutively, not concurrently, with the prison sentence. So if he were suspended for a year, that year would not start until after he's out of prison.

Well that's fine... a 10-year ban will do just fine.
