This sounds promising...I like the sound of teams with real state pride to them, but with a collegiate feel. Sounds cool.

Me too. I like that they are not trying to compete with the NFl, just offering college players a chance to extend their playing days.

I really like that it's also in SPRING, right with the AFL, so there's more than just few games to watch!

It's baseball year round, but it's far less boring!

After watching one "JQ" acting like a total Cafone last week at a local Denton watering hole, I'm not sure I care for such lack of character in the NFL. Of course, he's no Michael Vick...so he's not a total strunzo.

I just got an e-mail from Johnny that he will be having a tryout with the Arkansas team of the AAFL today

Actually it is the National tryouts, just happens to be in Arkansas. The league will assign players to teams and try to keep them close to their home school.

If JQ makes the league, I hope they assign him to the Texas team.
