Banks and Ross back

I just returned from North Texas' morning practice session and offensive lineman Ajani Banks and defensive lineman Draylen Ross were back on the field.

The return of both is critical for the Mean Green, which does not have a lot of depth on either its offensive or defensive lines.

For more on practice and the return of both players, check back on the blog later today and be sure to pick up a copy of tomorrow's edition of the Denton Record-Chronicle. Tomorrow's content will also be on our Web site late tonight.

Banks and Ross back

Great news. I have always thought Banks has the most potential of all NT offensive linemen. He has yet to come close to filling that potential but at the very least should provide quality depth where it is needed the most. Ross who played te last year and now is apparently at dl weight is going to be an interesting player to watch. With his size and speed, he could develop into a star quality defensive lineman.

WHERE's WOODY?

Did he quit?

Do we have any news on Woody. Last I heard a week ago was that he was basically told he wouldn’t be a QB anymore and TD gave him sometime to consider his options. Its been a week now has anyone heard anything else.

I noticed that Ross was listed on the official team roster that I printed off nine days ago, but Banks was not.

Anyway, great news! I just hope that this is the last time that we go through this drama with these two young men.

      At one point, it was indicated that NIL would be limited to the actual amount someone’s “name, image or likeness” is really worth: which is not very much at all if it is not “pay for play”. Like, how much would you really pay for someone to retweet a local HVAC ad or show up to an elementary school to read to the kids: maybe a couple hundred bucks or a few thousand max? The players would get their revenue share from the school, but NIL would be capped at true market value. This is heading towards collective bargaining. Wish we could just skip ahead to that part and get a system in place with rules that could be played by and enforced.
