[Green to the Bone]

After four years of playing Sooner football and three years as a car dealership intern, Bubba was finally graduating from OU. But on his way to the stage, the dean stopped him.

"Bubba," he said, "it says here you never passed math. I'm afraid you can't graduate, even from OU."

The crowd didn't like that. "Give Bubba another chance!" they chanted.

The dean relented. "OK, Bubba," he said, "what's two plus three?"

Bubba thought a minute and then his face lit up like a Christmas tree. "Five!" he shouted.

The auditorium was silent. The people looked at each other, puzzled. Then came the chant:

"Give Bubba another chance!"
