Should we add Texas State to the AAC?
Well the PAC needs 1 more. They want UNLV who cannot get out of the MWC. I could see the PAC saying during the bowl game, there are my two programs to expand: TSU and UNT. Or they could try UTSA and UNT - either way south Texas north Texas has to be interesting to them. I don’t think Jared does it though. We are married to the AAC. Our future rival is with UTSA or TSU both while being in the American. TSU would flourish in the American. Nicely balanced football and basketball programs. The Bobcat secretly must want the Runner to move on. GMG -

I’d hope Texas State potentially joining the AAC would be in response to us joining the PAC along with UTSA.- 1

Should we add Texas State to the AAC?
I don’t really understand the strong desire some have to expand. Like a couple others said, if the conference loses some teams, sure.. they’d be on the short list. But we’re already seeing the flaws in these huge conferences and not being able to play everyone on a yearly basis. Lets see what the next couple years looks like before the AAC just starts throwing invites out to anyone that shows a couple good athletic years.- 1
