He also ran for two touchdowns, leading South Oak Cliff to the state semifinals for the first time since 1970. “All those things, seeing it in person, we just walked away thinking it made sense,” Lashlee said. Lashlee hopped on a FaceTime four days later and offered Henry-Jennings a scholarship. He visited SMU that weekend, committed on a Sunday and then signed with the Mustangs on Wednesday.
