A few practice observations

Over the next few weeks, I am going to try to make a habit of posting some random observations from UNT's fall practices on the blog. Here is today's edition.

Junior Daniel Meager and redshirt freshman Nathan Tune were paired during several drills in practice. They appear to be No. 1 and No. 2 on UNT's quarterback depth chart as practice starts.

Tune showed a nice touch on several sideline patterns during drills.

Jamario Thomas was the first to cross the line in sprints while competing with the other running backs at the end of practice. After all the injury problems Thomas has endured the last few years, it was a good sign for UNT.

Cornerback Antoine Bush and linebacker Maurice Holman both intercepted passes during team drills.

Junior wide receiver Casey Fitzgerald, senior Brandon Jackson and freshman B.J. Lewis all made impressive catches during team drills.

Nice to see Meager and Tune get off to a great start. I new that BJ Lewis was going to contribute early on. Nice to hear BJ get off to a great start. Jamario will not only be important running the ball but he will be most valuable picking up blitz packages that will come down our throats. Jamario and Cam will be instrumental giving Meager time to throw the ball.

I thought it was my job to state the obvious? B)
