North Carolina Alum Group

I moved to Raleigh last fall and now with the season gearing up, I am getting pretty pumped!! Even some of my coworkers are sending me articles and updates they find about UNT because they know I am a huge fan/alum. Is there a group out east? If not, is my only option to watch a game online?

You might email the home office and inquire about trying to get one started out there. There are probably quite a few alumni out there.

There are probably more of us here than you would think. I live in Durham and work in Chapel Hill. NC Green is here also; Fayetteville I believe. Several years ago, I wrote the Exes about helping organize a NC chapter, but did not receive the courtesy of a reply.

While this was many years ago, I recall when North Texas played University of Richmond in Richmond, there were at least two or three hundred North Texas fans at the game.

While I can't get to Denton as I would like, I will drive to the MT game as that is about the closest game to us. I also recall a rumor about a possible UVa and North Texas game in the works.

I live in Raleigh as well, and was just speaking with another alumnus about the unfortunate lack of games out here. That is why I was so excited about the C-USA talk...getting to see them play ECU would be pretty neat.

I do hope that we get the NT-OU game on FSN...that would be great to watch!

Sorry you were ignored by the Exes when you got in touch earlier. We can only hope that the new director will be better. Don't give up on them and contact them again when the new director shows up in late August. The nearest Exes chapter to you currently is the one in Washington, D.C.

There was also to be a future NT/Clemson game but it is no longer listed on www.nationalchamps.net.
