Sad to see this. Joey had some talent. Unfortunatly, Joey also had some unhealthy and illeagal addictions.

I didn't wonder, but if that's him...then that's sad. He had a good opportunity at UNT, even if he wasnt on scholarship.

He was on scholarship and was expected to start after Hall but he didn't make grades.

His arrest is not really a shock after seeing his website, but damn... a felony? I dont remember much about his playing ability, just that he was a big guy for a QB. You hate to see a young man throw his future away like that.. makes no sense.

In the "where are they now?" catagory, I was wonderring what ever happened to George Marshall? He will forever be rememberred for a dropped ball on ESPN2. I wonder what that guy is doing now? I also wonderred about Jonus Buckles and what he is up to? Seems we hear things about the other players from those teams.

Anyway, good luck to Joey Byerly and his crew. I hear prisons have football teams for inmates, and they get special treatment if they play? Wait, no... that was a movie. Looks like someone is just screwed....
