I'm sure this site has been posted before but, in light of all the recent helmet discussions, I thought I'd share it for everyone again. This is the most comprehensive collection of historical football helmet designs that I have found on the internet. One thing I noticed is that the majority of D-1A schools have had a white football helmet at one time or another; Baylor, A & M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech to name a few. However, most schools have been fairly consistent in regards to the helmet logo whereas we've been all over the place. The most consistent element of UNT football helmets is that the helmet has been some shade of green since 1968. Another thing I noticed is that Marshall (whose colors are also green and white) has had many more helmet design changes than we have...they've been all over the board.
