---White helmets make sense for a team that passes and is more visible to the QB down the field when he doesn't have a lot of time to look around ...especially at night games.

A quick glance tells me that #'s 4, 7, 9, 12, 19, 21 and 23 are the only ones with a predominately white shell. I really don't think it makes that much of a difference.

Hell, even if it is only "perceived" as helping, I'm for it. Anything to aid our quarterbacks in finding receivers would be appreciated, even if they only BELIEVE it helps them. Many times last year, whoever was under center couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a brushpile! When the bull was standing alone in the field! Anything that builds confidence is our friend IMO.

Looks great to me! I think the main thing that makes it better is that the words North Texas will be much easier to read. I don't care about the comparisons to Southlake.

The best stickers in use are the bones from Georgia, these I don't mind because they don't clutter up the helmet. The ones I like the least are OSU, because they have the white background just like the ones you received in pee wee. If I were to choose from the three posted earlier from this thread I'd go with the eagle profile, about an inch in width.

The tallon is the best option of the three. It would alleviate the need for two stickers. Like the buckeye and Georgia's bone, it would look right from either side of the helmet.

SOW or the head by itself would face forward when on one side of the helmet and face backwards on the other side. Of course that would be unless they print two stickers -- one facing each direction... so when they are put on the helmet they would always be facing forward.

--I agree but will not argue about it but.. Dodge played QB so he may know. He also has won a lot of games as coach with white helmets but one difference is colleges play a lot of day games and high schools usually play at night and white helmets really show up better at night then especially when at home with dark jerseys. Second/third receivers are harder to spot when dressed in all dark colors. Gordon Wood (at Brownwood) always used white helmets for that same reason and I guess he was fairly successful as well... nine state championships. I think, Permain, which wears black, uses white helmets for the same reason. They have made the state finals even more than Brownwood which no longers wears white.

---It may not be as big a deal with colleges since a lot of their games are in day time and/or on very well lit fields.

There's only one problem with pride stickers. After two games, Jamario will have to start placing them on his jersey, and then after 5 games, on his pants, and we don't want a polka-dotted mean green team.
