I Didn't Pay A Unt Parking Ticket Last Semester

should I expect my classes to be dropped sometime?? Am I going to walk out to a boot next time I park up there? just curious if anyone knows the reprecusions

It should be written into your tuition charges next semester.... Check your receipt for a UNT Police Charge when you pay tuition. I had at elast one if not mroe tickets each semester while i was working for intramurals... There is NO parking around the rec and that always forced me to park illegally...maybe it was just that i was lazy and didnt want to walk....

I know my tickets were thrown into the tuition charges cause mom and dad finally realized they had been paying them this last year when they reviewed the receipt for taxes....

Thanks for the info, and I share your pain on the parking situation around the rec center, the walk from fouts to the rec center can be a headache, esp. after working out..

The Rec Center parking situation can be a mess if you like to go before 7 or 8. A few summers back before they built that new student health center by the Rec, I parked there on a Friday at 3pm during MayMester. There were nothing but open spaces in that lot (short of UNT-owned vans), most classes in May back then ran until 1 and didn't have Friday sessions...And I got a ticket.

Point is, I always waited until after 7 or 8 during the longer semesters, or went when I was already on campus. Walking to and from Fouts wasn't too bad, but it was a hassle, especially when it was cold.

Parking was a mess even when I was there in the early 80's. I spent most of my time in Whooten Hall (PSCI & HIST). Fouts is the hind end of space from Whooten. Fortunately I took a lot of early classes and was able to get decent parking.

If you are not a student you can blow off the ticket. If you are a student, they kind of have you by the balls. They can withold your deploma till the ticket is paid or other crap.

Good luck finding a solution.
