I own two! I brought one to the NCAA Selection Show in the AC, and had it draped around me every second of the game in N'Orleans.

We have the Stars & Stripes, the Union Jack, the Star and Bars. We should name the green flag and use it more.

I developed the green Texas flag in the late 80's and I agree with Firefightin Rick that it should be called the North Texas Battle flag.

post-519-1184378770_thumb.jpgI was just thinking the other day that someone should take the "Come and Take it" flag, write Boomer on the cannon and make the whole thing green and white. That way it adds onto the Boomer tradition. Edited by Mad Hatter

The Mean Green or North Texas Battle Flag. I've never heard it refered to by any other name.

How hard would it be (money) to have a giant Battle Flag made and displayed before kickoff or during halftime. Similar to the way Texas uses the giant Texas flag at Memorial Stadium ?

That might be a good project for GOMEANGREEN.COM

Can we focus this thread on the topic at hand?

Much better.

Flyer,

You and I seem to be the only one who understand what this thread is truly about.

They are except for the toothpaste shade of green they are made of. Plenty of time to get that corrected though.

Depends on what you consider "giant". The current one that Talons run on the sidelines now is a 12 x 8 and cost me around $150 back around 2001 or so? Decide on a size and I can call my supplier and find out.
