I work in grapevine (next to southlake) and a kid wearing some football camp shirt and a SLC hat came in. We got to talking and he said he moved here sometime last semester from lufkin. Of course I brought up AJ penson and the guy thought really highly of him, I also mentioned the Riley Dodge commit and although I thought it was just pure speculation he brought up a possible Tre Newton commit. According to him Tre feels "dodge had always been good to him and that dodge had been a great guy to play for" or something like that. I don't know the kids name I spoke to he is a kicker and is about to be a junior in high school. He also mentioned his brother who I assume went to Lufkin but now goes to "some college down there" (as he put it) is trying to transfer to UNT to kick for us...

Interesting story. As far as Tre Newton coming to North Texas-?

This story could linger on through next February. Right now, I do not

see this happening. If it does, this would be a bigger story than Riley's

de-commiting. To have another Univ of Tex commit change his mind

to play for Coach Dodge and North Texas !! Wow- would that event

change the recruiting scene for Texas high school players!

How would the nay-sayers explain this, it sure can't be the coaches

son theory! How about this, "Coach Dodge is a good coach and a good

guy to play for!"
