I know the obvious (forever) answer is Voertmans and the University Book Store....................but what other retail outlets in DFW, Houston/Galveston, San Antonio, El Paso, Longview/Marshall, Lubbock/Amarillo, Waco and so on?

How about the Love's near many of your interstates closest to where you live? Is your's carring UNT caps? Hellsbells! I 've seen Love's carry caps from 1-AA schools and once in a blue moon UNT.

Also, are there cell phone ringtones of the UNT Fight Song? If so.................what link?

As far as ringtones I have got mine through cingular. www.cingular.com

They have 4 versions fight songs and the Alma Mater. They also have 6 different graphis with the new logo's.

Hey "The Jason" thanks for that info. I have a Cingular phone, too. B)

BTW, does anyone know why it seems every "Tom, Dick and Harry" school gets their sports caps at all these interstate Love's stores and we seem to never have ours in their cap bins? I have seen UNT caps but when they are sold out, the don't get re-stocked. To Merchandisers or Buyers: Uh...........duh? :rolleyes:

Target in Denton has a big selection and I think that Crackerbarrel in Denton has some stuff. Maybe Target in your market will have some stuff.

If your phone can play an MP3 as a ringtone and you can download off your computer to your phone (i.e. USB cable, Motorola Phone Tools, etc...) you could just download the fight song MP3 from here and not have to pay for it... I did this and it sounds great!

I would love a UNT canopy as well. If anyone knows where to get them let me know. The closest I have come is a green one from Walmart (link), almost the right color.

      A plea to our "football-only" fans

      I'm not trying to scold anyone here, but what's it gonna take for more people to come out and support our basketball teams? And other sports - softball and women's soccer are always solid, and volleyball just made a promising coaching hire. Our basketball teams are a combined 23-9, which is the best in The American. They're also a combined 17-1 at The Super Pit. But no one is showing up for games. I don't want this to turn into a bitch fest about our marketing. It is probably deserved, but the people on this board likely follow our athletics department on some other social media or email list. Every Monday on Twitter I see a post about what teams are playing at home this week. I know some aren't a big fan of basketball, do you dislike it more than you like the Mean Green? Many are rightfully getting turned off by NIL and the transfer portal. I don't blame you. But the coaching staff for the men are putting together its' school record eighth straight winning season. With Burton, the women won't be far behind. In football, I get it adds up for a family of four - tickets, parking, concessions. But the other five spectator sports offer free parking and normally a hella great ticket deal. Season tickets for basketball start at $99 (like $6.50/home game). If you like soccer, softball, and/or volleyball, an Olympic pass will get you a GA ticket for every home game for $75 (less than $2/ticket!). Again, not trying to call out the board, just want to raise awareness for our other sports, especially if you are feeling sour about football. Come out to The Pit at least one time the remainder of the season! The men and women deserve it. Next women's home game is this Wednesday, 1/15 at 6:30pm against defending conference champ Rice. The men play at home a week after that on the 22nd against Temple - last year's conference runner-up. Or, if you live in the Central Texas or Houston area, look for upcoming games at UTSA next Saturday, 1/18 and at Rice Tuesday, 2/11. GMG!

      Should we add Texas State to the AAC?

      We should always try and improve our position when it comes to conference affiliation and over the last few years we have. Sunbelt....Conference USA and now the AAC. We are getting about as high as we can get without being in a P4 conference. Without the right schools the "new" PAC is not the right direction, literally (west) I for one do not want to be in the Big West 2.0. Winning games will be the best way to enhance our position. More money and exposure would be good but the PAC does not even have a media contract.
