Byron Gross,

Hell they named the outstanding linebacker award after him.

I can't pick just one. The trio of Cody Spencer, Taylor Casey and Chris Hurd was so much fun to watch. The chemistry between those three were unsurpassed and they worked together to create havoc for the opposition!!

So I go with Spencer, Casey and Hurd!!! (Kassell is in a very close fourth!!)

This one's easy for me....Burks Washington.

I believe that he's still our all-time leading tackler. He kept us in the game with Texas by stopping Earl Campbell time and time again.

No question... Cody Spencer. The guy could hit, cover, and read the QB's thoughts. He always seemed to know where the ball was going. I remember the shot Cody put on a MTSU receiver (I think it was Tyronne Callico) at FOUTS. The crowd all at once screamed "OOOOOOHHHHHH MAN!?" Callico got up, but he didnt catch another pass on a crossing route.. and he had two more thrown to him? In the back of his mind he was already hearing Spencer's footsteps. THAT is what the best LB's do... they intimidate. Cody was great at that! (He also has the best "I got kicked off of an airplane" story. THAT story is for tailgaiting...hehe)

GMG!!!

From my time at NT, Lance White/Byron Gross

Current Era: The Four Horsemen, "Kassell, Spencer, Hurd, Casey."

Couldn't pick just one.

Brad Kassell...one bad mofo.

I agree. There was a LB that played for the team back in the 93-94 seasons that was pretty tough, but I cannot remember his name. He was a fairly stout African American gentleman but, again, cannot recall his name...anyone know????
