View of the field bleachers at Eagle Park at North Texas State College. Trees dot the foreground and tall, electric lights line the edges of the playing area. The field was constructed in 1913, and in 1927 steel stands were constructed to seat 2,200 on the west side of the field. The football field was part of "Eagle Park." http://texashistory.unt.edu/permalink/meta-pth-12434:1

Back of the finished "bricked" Eagle Park bleachers (labeled as unknown, but you can tell it's the same bleachers as first photo): http://texashistory.unt.edu/permalink/meta-pth-21792:1

Was this on the location of Willis today?

It is where Willis is today. There are still rock works from the time to the west next to the Music building. If you go to Google Earth and look down on the campus you can still see some of the Elipse. Its cool to look down from above. Someone probably has an overview photo they could post.
