Los Fresno offensive tackle Eloy Atkinson, who plays for former UNT player Scott Ford, is North Texas' fourth commit for 2008 ... North Texa also is close to getting a commitment from Mart safety/receiver Kenny Barrett (6-4, 190)

Former Plano West QB Eric Johnson is expected to transfer to North Texas. Johnson (6-2, 215) signed with SMU in '05 and transferred to Texas State. Johnson's brother J.J. Johnson, a center, signed with SMU in '07.

Sounds like a commitment from him would be tentative at best.

Anyone got an e-mail on these guys?

On Barrett he looks like one hell of a receiver at least a 3 star when rankings come out (4 star if he is on aTm and Arkansas's lists). I didn't see a 40 time for him but by the schools interested in him I am willing to bet its 4.4.
