Rivals Question

Does anyone know at what point Rivals will start to rank their players by "stars"? Is it in a players senior year? Or are none of our recruits high enough to get stars That doesn't sound right since they're being recruited and offered by other big name programs, but I haven't seen any listed yet.

.......and yes, I know that the stars don't necesarilly mean that a player will be good, but it's nice when you can talk about a 3 Star guy that picked UNT over somewhere else.

They have only rated their top 100 players so far. So as far as the stars go, they start handing them out during their senior year. And I'm right there with you, you can't sit and point to the star system as accurate, but then again it does give you somewhat of an idea the caliber of players. It sure would be nice to see 4 stars next to a NT recruit

Unfortunately, a kid will be rated as a 3 or 4 star as long as UT (for example) is looking seriously at them, but soon as they sign or commit to North Texas, Tulsa or Rice (for example) they will drop a star. It's the biggest flaw in their system.

These kids are just now going thought the Nike camps and all of the other workouts. Most potential D1 recruits should be rated over the summer.
