The last time we had a committment in May was for a late sign JUCO, not a verbal for the following year. Quite a bit can change between now and the February 2008 signing date, but this is encouraging that we are out there recruiting year round.

Hey Men,

I wonder if the former Hillcrest head coach, the great Clayton George, had anything to do with this committment.

I'm sure he did.

Quote from Rivals article on his signing "Taylor also played for assistant coach Clayton George at Hillcrest, who is now at North Texas."

"I played for him, so it's a good situation," Taylor said. "There are no favorites in college football, the best players play. But, I have a good relationship with him." Glad to see a former NT QB still interested in NT football.

"

Looking forward to the fall!

Of course he did, and I like the fact that this player comes out of Dallas.

I'm not so sure. If he has a lights out year and his numbers are great. He will be on the list. UNT or no UNT. I think good football players will get their due.

You can bet on the DMN will not list this kid on their top 100

area players. Why- because he wants to commit to NT!

Dodge is the Dallas media darling right now. I don't think you have to worry about any percieved bias anymore. :)
