Wonder where Brian Waters ended up...

My sarcasm detector must be off. I will bite.

Brian Waters: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/146550

wo-time Pro Bowl left guard is widely regarded as one of the league’s elite players at his position … Earned his initial Pro Bowl berth in 2004 and followed that up with another trip to Hawaii following the 2005 campaign … Has also received first-team All-Pro honors from the Associated Press each of the past two seasons … Combines brute strength, solid technique and all-around athleticism to give the Chiefs the perfect candidate to receive the torch from fellow G Will Shields as Kansas City’s next perennial Pro Bowler on the offensive front … Has unquestionably benefitted greatly from the tutelage of Shields both on the field and in the meeting room … Pairs with 11-time Pro Bowl T Willie Roaf to give the Chiefs one of the most dominant guard-tackle tandems in the league … Despite the high level of play he has demonstrated the past two seasons, still has room to get even better … Is an extremely agile performer who frequently pulls and delivers blows to defenders downfield … Was a key reason that RB Larry Johnson registered a franchise-record 1,750 rushing yards in 2005 … Is also a sturdy pass protector who has helped QB Trent Green earn a pair of Pro Bowl berths over the past three seasons … Played an integral role in helping the Chiefs lead the NFL in total offense each of the past two campaigns … Possesses an aggressive on-field demeanor and takes great pleasure in pummeling opponents when given an opportunity … Highly-decorated guard became the first offensive lineman to ever be named AFC Offensive Player of the Week since that honor’s inception in ‘84 after a dominating performance in a 56-10 win vs. Atlanta (10/24/04) in which the Chiefs registered an NFL-record eight rushing TDs. In fact, no guard in either conference had previously claimed that honor … Was named to the All-Foxhole Team of The Sporting News in 2004, a prestigious list of NFL tough guys who “you’d want fighting on your side in a foxhole” ... Also gained his share of the national spotlight after manhandling Ravens Pro Bowl LB Ray Lewis for much of the evening in a 27-24 victory on Monday Night Football at Baltimore (10/4/04) ... That litany of richly-deserved accolades should only motivate this massive blocker to elevate his game to even loftier plateaus this season … Is arguably one of the strongest players on the roster, possessing tremendous lower-body power … Paired with Shields in 2004 to form the first tandem of Pro Bowl guards from the same team since Larry Allen and Nate Newton did it for Dallas following the ‘95 season, a feat they repeated last season … Also became the first undrafted guard to make the Pro Bowl since Newton did it following the ‘98 season … Has firmly entrenched himself as the club’s starting left guard, owning a string of 71 consecutive starts, the fifth-longest active streak of any player on the team … Has come a long way since being cut by Dallas as a rookie free agent in ‘99 … Came to Kansas City for a free agent workout in 2000 when the Chiefs convinced him to make the move to offensive line after working as a tight end in camp for the Cowboys the previous year … Was originally envisioned to be Tim Grunhard’s replacement at center before the club inked Casey Wiegmann in 2001 … Actually started the 2001 opener in place of an injured Wiegmann before moving into his current role at guard midway through that campaign … Worked exclusively on special teams during his debut with the club in 2000, but quickly assumed a larger role in his second season with the club … Worked as both a collegiate tight end and a defensive lineman, giving him a vast background to call upon … In fact, never played offensive line until entering the pro ranks with the Chiefs in 2000 … Has also seen limited action for the Chiefs as a fullback in short-yardage situations … Owns 86 games of regular season experience with 72 starts (71 at left guard, one at center) ... Also has one postseason start to his credit … Was part of a Kansas City offensive front that opened the same five players at the same positions for 32 consecutive games in 2002-03, the NFL’s longest streak since the San Diego offensive line accomplished the feat for 40 straight games in ‘71-73 … Spent the spring of 2000 playing in NFL Europe with the Berlin Thunder … Went to camp with Dallas as a rookie free agent in ‘99, but did not make that club’s active roster.

Evan Cardwell is still with the Dallas Desperados on their reserve list. He was pretty good when he got his chances last season. While I certainly don't wish injury on any of our active linemen, I'd love to see Evan get another chance to shine in the metroplex.

Speaking of Kickers...Jason Ball is the kicker for the Colorado Crush of the AFL. Went to Denver last week to watch him play. Great kid...great leg...needs a shot at an NFL tryout.
