THREE, 3 and I mean 3 points.
FCS Leghigh scored a TD to tie their game with Army with 43 seconds left in the 1st Quarter.
Army BULLIED our offense anytime they needed to. The only other team to get held to 3 point by Army this year was a 1-7 Air Force team with an Offense that Army is so familiar with they don't have to game plan to start. If Morris doesn't run the table these are the options he should be presented.
1. Stay on and take a paycut equal to the Defense Coaching Staff we choose to bring on to fix the mess you made. (A final salary no lower than 500k per year)
2. "Resign" and find an OC job and we will pay you the difference between your new salary and that salary you get at your next gig.
3. Stay on with full salary doing whatever you want but your contract is restructured to were all guaranteed money stops at end of 2025 with a 300k severance package if let go at that time.
Because if you have expectations for this program to ever be more than "hit 6" this kind of thing will make you will stop supporting the program. And by "supporting", I don't consider supporting as watching on TV occasionally, buying North Texas merchandise as a proud Alumni or not showing up to a game (other than homecoming) until they get to 5-0 in a season. Supporting means going to games regardless of record if you can or giving small/large donations to Athletic Fun equal to what you might be willing to buy a ticket for if you can't attend.
If they don't win out and I don't see major defensive improvement next year. My behavior won't qualify as supporting the program as I have defined it. My support isn't huge but I do what I can. Not being in Atheltic Department meetings for the outside it just doesn't look like they are doing what they can to get beyond Hit 6.
SSJ, I won't disagree much with your points here, but I will take as many ARMY "two-star" men as I can get. Assuming their talent is objectively deemed "two-star," I'll take 11 guys that play as a team with conviction, pride, focus on mission, intensity, pride and heart. Their fans are used to seeing it. Their fans prepared for and/or fought much more critical battles. And they vehemently support it when they see it.
