Just wondering...what's up with the new stadium and the fundraising efforts? Haven't seen or heard much about it in awhile. When is the effort in fundraising going to go "public". I am sure Rick V and his team are well into the "private" fundraising that will certainly have to take place. We need the "big money" folks behind this effort and it will take Rick V., his team, the new Prez. and all the Board of Regents working "behind the scenes" to get the big money folks pried loose, but will we go "public" soon with some sort of pledge drive to get the GREEN NATION behind it? Reminds me of church building campaigns....often the fundraising lacks a bit of urgency and pizazz UNTIL that first spade of dirt is turned and folks can see that it is really going to happen. Let's get going...let's turn that first spade of dirt. Does anyone have any news or thoughts on the new stadium and where we stand???

A lot of the initial phases are done. They know where the stadium is going to go, and they already own the land. They even have some preliminary architectural plans. the Goldfields donated $1.5 million specifically for the stadium.

It'll happen. :)

The Goldfields donated $1 million to the stadium and $50,000 per year for the next 10 years to the general Ath. fund
