The fifth annual Mean Green Night with the Rangers is set for Monday, April 23. Tickets are once again heavily discounted for all the Mean Green Nation! You can get your tickets through the North Texas athletics office or by going to the following weblink: www.texasrangers.com/meangreen. The password to login is "green". Harry, is it possible to pin this?...thanks.

Fun time. I can't go but it is a really good time.

Bundle up...it gets a little cold in those windy top of the stadium seats. Worth it to just buy bleacher seats in the outfield.

I went with the family. We sat in the $2 upper deck seats with some students. My understanding is that we sold 500 tickets or so, but they were scattered throughout the ballpark so there wasn't much of a 'green' presence.

JJ's first pitch was low and away, but at least he reached the plate. Nice catch by Maurice Holman.

I was ticked off by the dot race, though. You would think that on Mean Green night, the green dot would win so we can all cheer for the green. Nope, the red dot wins at the wire. Great marketing by the Rangers

I'm with you on that thought, but you'll have to take it up with Chuck Morgan, Rangers Vice President, Marketing & In-Park Entertainment (he's also the PA Announcer). He's the one who thought up the original Dot Race, and this year's new version as well.

But that would imply the Dot Race is fixed! :o That would really throw off the betting.

I know the Dot Race is computerized but I would like to see a little more "human input" to it. Make it like a video game where people actually have to hit a button or do some action to get the dots to move.

But yea...for some reason the Green dot is slower then the others.
