Todays Practice

Alright well today I decided to go to practice and let me tell everyone, it was quite the practice. Had fun bumping into Cass Starks and Tyrone Carter (former players, 06 grads) and they spoke highly of Dodge.

When I asked Starks what was the difference between this year's spring practice and last year's, he goes, "Dawg, you put this in bold letters... its like NIGHT AND DAY," then laughed. Both guys are cool guys I might add.

Talked to Dodge, he said over 150 coaches were present for this event. 2-day affair featuring Dodge, some of his staff, Coach from Garland, Marcus, and Cedar Hill. Chris Seroka, strength coach said Dickeys usually got 50 coaches, but this was by far the best attended. Supposedly, coaches from Arkansas and Missouri came out too, so this was huge

Talked to JJ Johnson and his dad for a bit, since hes from my alma mater. He asked me what a good Mean Green site was, so of course I stated the obvious. He's excited for next year. All the signees will be at the spring game.

Funniest moment: Coach Mendoza yelled at the ref during the Tag Up Drill. The whistle was supposed to blow after the guy got touched, but the ref forgot to blow it and let J-Mo score. It mightve been one of those "you had to be there" moments.

Intensity was awesome. They played OU, SMU, Ark, Troy fight songs, and other music to help the players learn to tune it out. J-Mo broke a few runs, Tune looked good, defense did well on the two minute drill. I really can't wait for the spring game.
