I've been going to 4th of July parades in several Dallas neighborhoods for my entire life. Every once in a while a high school will have 3 or 4 drummers entered into the parade to basically just do various cadences throughout. I was curious if there were any drummers who'll be in the Dallas area this summer who'd be interested in being in a parade? I'm sure they'd have to be paid, but I have NO idea what something like that would cost. Where do you even start looking for stuff like this?

I've also been to the Fort Worth Christmas parade the Friday night after Thanksgiving the past 4 years. Last year UTA had a float, but no other schools were involved. Not even TCU, and it's a BIG parade. This has to be a great way to do some school advertising, and I can't figure out why UNT wouldn't be involved.

UTA did that this past year to advertise their opening up a satelite campus over by the old train depot. They tried to open shops and restuarants there but they fail because no one went over to that side of downtown. So UTA got it and opened up a school there. It's an odd place for a campus if you ask me?
