Vacation Destinations

Since the wife tells me that the weekend trips I have planned to Norman and Fayetteville will not count towards a official vacation , I was hoping that anyone who has had a good recent experience out there would have some suggestions ( sites,hotels,etc.)

We were thinking something with a beach would do, thanks in advance.

A trip to Cozumel is pretty great if you like an island in the tropics, cheap packages from all inclusive to just the simple European plans. Several great restaurants, fishing, sight seeing, scuba, and more available. It is a laid back island that runs kind of on island time. If cheap and more active in mind Cancun is good, or an in between is Playa De Carmen. Also trips to the mountains, vacations to Maine or Canada in the summer and so on. If money is not an object I am full of ideas.
