One day after trying out for NFL scouts, former Texas cornerback Tarell Brown was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge Thursday after a routine traffic stop in Williamson County.

Jamie Balagia, Brown's attorney, said his client was riding in a car driven by Brown's cousin. Balagia said police ran the cousin's license and found an outstanding arrest warrant. The car was impounded and searched. Police discovered marijuana "residue," Balagia said, and charged the cousin and Brown.
