This game was phenomenal to watch but as a Mavs fan I am really concerned. They did not take advantage of Phoenix's style of not playing any defense and again they did not attack the basket like they should have....I felt like I was watching the finals all over again. Another thing is that tonight proved that why Nash deserves and will be the MVP for the 3rd consecutive year. I guess we have to accept that Dirk is what he is....not an MVP.

Nash doesn't deserve another MVP...

If you know me I am the biggest Mavs Homer in Dallas right now, they can't do wrong by me no matter what they do. TOnight's game worries me also but watching how the game was officiated and seeing how Nash gets what he wants when we wants it from those officials is just ridiculous.

EX.

NASH drives to the paint on JHO. Clearly grabs JHO's jersey, even the ESPN guys say it and somehow its an offensive foul.

If Dirk were to do the same thing, Offensive Foul Going the Other way....

Nash is slowly turning into a Tim Duncan type player...now dont get me wrong Dirl bitches alot too but watching him say something after every miss or every turnover tonight was ridiculous. The call on him for illegal screen was a GREAT call he led with his shoulder and wasnt set up and he cried about it.

Officiating Basketball is tough but even the lowest of officials (ME, few years of expierence) can see some disrepancies in the way the game was called in the 2nd OT tonight.

SUNS can't take us in Seven...So i am still not too incredibly worried about them...now the SPurs on the other hand...Someone please hurt Manu Ginobli!

Josh Howard should be shot for fouling Nash and missing a foul shot in the final minute - needless 4 point swing. I felt like I was watching our basket....nope, that's bad karma. I felt like I was watching the Clippers. There was really only about 30 solid minutes of game time Dallas seemed to be trying last night...ridiculous.

The no-call on Devin Harris's drive through the paint that knocked him out of the game was amazing....he got absolutely drilled in the head.

I can live with that one because we ended up getting the rebound anyway. However, the 3 pointer that Nash hit to send the game into overtime was ridiculous. Shawn Marion REACHED OUT and clipped Buckner on his way over to defend the shot. Give me a break.

Dirk and J-Ho kinda disappeared in the clutch, so congrats to Phoenix. Let little Stevie Nash (when did he turn into such a pansy **tch?) win another MVP. We'll see them in the playoffs WITH our full lineup in tact hopefully. We were missing 2 of our top 7 last night.

We can bi**h about the refs all we want but the mavs lost the game by themselves. Missed free throws, dumb fouls, yelling at officials and not driving to the hoop is really the reason why we lost the game. Sure we didnt have harris much of the game and george was out but are we really relying on them to get us over that hump? We still had nowitzki, howard, terry and even stackhouse. Suns did not have amare last season in the playoffs but they still had the balls to take us to 6 games in the conference finals and they werent far from taking us to a game 7. My problem isnt the fact the mavs lost the game....it was the manner in which they did. I would have rather been blown out of the game in the first quarter than lose the way they did. And why doesnt nash deserved the MVP? He clearly was clutch last night and he's a smart player that doesnt gripe about officiating the way dirk does. Dirk is my favorite player but sometimes he can be the dumbest player and the biggest baby out there.....its so frustrating because you want him to just stick that knife in the part of the heart where it hurts most and i think dirk can only do that or does that when he wants to and not every game when it matters or they need it most. Maybe i'm overreacting but that was a game the mavs had won that they let get away....I really felt like i was watching the finals all over again.

Here's what blows me away...the dope smoking color analyst who crawled out of his tipi just in time for tip off was acting like the MVP award was being decided on each trip down the court from the fourth quarter on. That is typically absurd of him, but the amazing part is that people really seem to have bought into it. I was listening to Dan Patrick today, who votes for NBA MVP and he was saying that Nash may have won his vote last night. Nevermind that Dirk hit the game winner the last time they played. For some reason, since Bill Walton decided it was the showdown for the MVP sometime in the fourth quarter, and the Suns happend to win, everyone is buying it. Nash may win, and he may deserve to win, but it shouldn't be solely because of one game that Bill Walton appointed himself the MVP judge and jury.

Whether its right or wrong perception is everything in life. And this isnt the first time Dirk has failed in front of the nations eyes.....most of all people remember last years finals in which he completely disappeared. The things that happened yesterday were absolutely bone headed and your "leader" is not supposed to do that. Its one thing if it was an ordinary to game but to play in a huge stage on national television I think does make a difference.

There were some bad decisions made which ultimately cost the Mavs the game. In that respect, there is room for concern. However, remember that the Mavs won the first two games against PHX this season and it took PHX until double OT to beat us this time. Nash and the Suns are a team that are good at capitalizing on mistakes and that is exactly what they did. If Dallas plays smarter basketball, which they did the previous two games, I believe we win that game. All that to say... let's not knee-jerk here.

I've long since calmed down from this game...but how on EARTH can you say that Steve Nash doesn't gripe to the officials? I don't know if it's because he's wearing enemy colors now, but he sure seems to have gotten much worse in that aspect. He lies on the floor by his bench to get every single bit of rest he can possibly get, but he has no problem running down an official to whisper in his ear.

Oh, and Harris and George ARE key components in putting us over the top.

He didn't gripe over the weekend when he was getting his ass beat by 50+ combined points....
