I was very impressed with the turnout at the Athletic Center.

I'm not kidding guys, we probably had 200-300 fans PACK that room. It was exciting and I can't believe that CBS didn't even show us because we had a bigger turnout than almost any other "reaction school".

Thanks to everyone who turned out to make it a memorable event!

Ya, it was great. Why were we not shown by CBS?? Was that a ploy by the Athletics Department to get people there??

No, because CBS was there. They had the crew and the satellite link.

Maybe they'll show it during the game...

That is a very good question....did anyone there see or witness either any TV cameras or TV/CBS vehicles? If not, then it may have been a set up by the AD.

If it was a set up, o well, it was a genius one at that. It was great chatting with everyone and seeing a packed Athletic Center. I always need another excuse to wear my green wig as well.

There's probably a logical explanation. Doubt there was any conspiracy or sinister plan to hoodwink fans into gathering at the AC.

I walked from the same ditch at the kickoff cookout last Fall. Sounds like we need more parking over there with all these Athletic type events going on. If we only had a stadium close by that had some parking with it......humm.......

We also had a great time! A lot more people than I expected to be there!

My favorite part was seeing FFR in his '88 NTSU Championship shirt!

FFR, how the hell do you fit into a 19 year old shirt????

Who was the knucklehead photog that decided to come to a NORTH TEXAS selection party and wear his UT shirt? A sea of green and this yahoo has to bring the burnt orange into it. Even if you aren't a fan have at least a little respect huh?

I think that Voertman's and/or the bookstore missed a tremendous opportunity by not having championship t-shirts to sell at the selection party..they could have made a lot of money and spread the word around the metroplex long after the tournament is over. I guess we are still learning how to maximize our opportunities for exposure on a daily basis.

Maybe we could have chipped in and bought this guy a t-shirt to wear!

I was very close to him, I was the guy holding the green Texas flag with the two girls.

I noticed that guy as well 'CorinthEagle, and I couldn't agree more. I brought my Aggie son with me Sunday. Before we left the house, I told him not to wear anything "Aggie." Just out of respect.

I think the Athletic Dept will offer to "replace" a non-NT shirt at a NT event free. There was a guy sitting near me at a basketball game wearing a Texas hat and jersey, and Athletics gave him a NT t-shirt. He put it on and the fans in the area he was sitting in applauded.

Rick, sounds like you are a celebrity...I'll be sure to ask for your autograph the next time I see you! Just goes to show how long t-shirts can advertise a university!
