Sure. And that’s part of my point. I think our fanbase has standards that forced the Littrell dismissal. My original point was in response to the “If UNT is ever going to get out of the shadow of itself, we have to stop making ourselves feel better after losses and focus instead on how to win.”
I just don’t think that’s what us holding us back, as evidenced by the hypothetical backlash you mentioned that was waiting had they kept Littrell after that 7-win season.
Perhaps, but I am going into 2025 with my cup half full instead of half empty. Besides, all the bitching has accomplished nothing and reinforces that repeating the same behavior expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.
Glad he was here because he was an upgrade over what we had, but he was still a weak link on a bad defense. If we can't do better, we'll suck again.
