Game-watching Parties - Thinking Big Picture

In the past, I've arranged watch parties for the Exes Gulf Coast Chapter, and gotten the staff in Denton to send an e-mail out to "advertise" it. In the back of my mind, I've thought that this is something that should be done for all chapters - an e-mail with details for ALL watch parties, to be sent to ALL Exes. The Exes web site events calendar should also get updated with the info.

Now is as good a time as any to start doing this. I called the Exes office and talked to Lorie Ingram. She thought it was a great idea, but it isn't possible to do it on such short notice - Sarah Heiser, who is interim Chapter Development Director, is still in L.A. We're on our own for Sunday, but this should be doable at the beginning of next week for the game.

So - who else is planning a watch party, especially as an official Exes event? I did a search on old posts to see who has organized a party (or at least posted about one), and came up with:

- CMJ - L.A.

- UNTFan23 - Ft. Worth

- ntsumgspe - Addison (Dallas chapter?)

I also remember seeing posts about the Austin chapter having watch parties, but couldn't find them. The Exes office gave me the phone number for the president of the Central Texas chapter (Waco), and I will call her.

I need to see where we are sent and what time. There was alot of interest last night with getting some sort of watching party together...but we need to see the brackets. Almost any time slot out in CA will have people still at work since we're 3 hours behind the East Coast. The games are gonna begin here at like 10AM.

Plus if we get to Sacremento I very well might go. :lol:
