The excellence of this season is amplified by the timeliness of it. After football threw off a couple of really bad seasons, here comes basketball with its best season in nearly 20 years. I really feel like a chump now for not going to Lafayette, even though I had no choice. As penance, I ran 6 miles after the game. For those who made the trip, I salute you. In fact, I will now raise a nice beer in your honor and in the honor of our excellent coach and team who have worked so hard. Cheers!
